All of you waiting for Sega to publish the new Alien vs Predator game can now stop their grinnin’ and drop their linen as Sega has announced Febuary 19 as the European release date for the PS3, 360 and PC versions.
As is customary with big releases, there’s also going to be special editions of the game too…
As well as the standard edition, there’s also the survivor edition: this will be packaged in a steelbook and include unlock codes for 4 multiplayer maps (which you’ll be able to download after the game’s launch).
But if splashing out for a game encased in an easily-damaged box to come with extra maps isn’t enough, then you can go for the full bells and whistles ‘hunter edition’.
It also comes with the 4 maps and a 3D lenticular postcard (you know, those ones that animate as you turn them), a Weyland Yutani patch and a posable facehugger – which will come in handy for scaring younger siblings away from your console.
Rumours of a an extra special edition of the game which comes with a DVD of Paul W. Anderson hitting himself with a tea tray and repeatedly apologising for the Alien vs Predator film are yet to be confirmed.
