Vanquish blows up your house

Sega has released a clever little piece of viral marketing for action shooter Vanquish that puts the viewer’s road in the thick of the action.

It works by integrating Google Street View after the viewer has entered their postcode. It’s a cool touch and caught us completely by surprise when we first watched it. Check it out for yourself and ‘Get Vanquished’ by viewing the official Vanquish trailer. The game is out now on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Modern Warfare 2 nuke in 33 seconds

A Modern Warfare 2 PS3 player has posted a video of himself obtaining a tactical nuke in 33 seconds, which is obtainable after 25 kills. He goes on to get 51 kills in the match.

The people of the UK have spoken. This year’s Golden Joysticks Awards took place last Friday where Mass Effect 2 picked up Ultimate Game of the Year and RPG of the Year.

New Devil May Cry trailer makes fanboys cry

Capcom has announced a brand new game in its slash ‘em up Devil May Cry series. Simply titled DmC and set in modern-day, the fifth game promises to “redefine the franchise”. Let’s face it, it needs to be after DMC4.

DmC features a younger, skinnier emo-style Dante – causing fanboys across the world to cry into their pillows and post angry comments over at VG247. It will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 and will likely arrive next year. What do you think about it?

Final Dragon Age DLC ‘Witch Hunt’ delayed now live

BioWare let down fans of Dragon Age yesterday – 24 hours after promising the final piece of Dragon Age: Origins DLC would go live and UK fans were still waiting for it to dig its claws into Xbox Live, PSN and PC.

Titled Witch Hunt, players are given one last quest to track down Morrigan to wrap up the storyline before Dragon Age 2 hits shelves next year.

Duke Nukem Forever back in development

Duke Nukem Forever

The Duke is finally back. After more than 13 years since it was first announced, Duke Nukem Forever will finally be making its way to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC next year.

The game is in development at Gearbox and will be published by 2K Games. A playable version of the game featured at this year’s Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in Seattle from September 3rd to 5th. We’ve got the details and trailer here.
