Before Charlie Brooker made top notch TV shows about… TV, he was a scummy games journalist like us.
And like any games journo worth their salt (at least that’s our excuse to customs officers), he arsed around, when really he should have been working. Brooker used to prank call the customer services lines of game companies.
In this little gem from the 90′s, Brooker calls Activision to complain about how Quake won’t run on his boy’s computer:
