Top 5 funny video game voiceovers

Want to hear some of the worst voice acting in gaming history? Ladies and Gentlemen: look no further.

I reveal the funniest in-game voiceovers including Shenmue’s very own Ryo Hazuki, complete with monotone voice – and everyone’s favourite Jill sandwich…

“I’ve been waiting for you… frrriends…”

I stumbled across this video on Youtube earlier and thought I’d share it with the world.

Here are five of the worst, humorous and downright weird pieces of voice acting video games have to offer.

Some of the games in question bring back particularly fond memories from my gaming youth – especially a couple of Dreamcast titles (one now famed for its notorious voice acting).

At the time I didn’t notice their cringeworthy nature – I was probably too busy enjoying the gameplay and superb 3D graphics for their time.

It’s only after looking back on them I realise how bad (and funny) they really are.

Shenmue was one game in particular which featured predominantly awful voice acting – check out number 4 for one laughable scene in particular. I highly recommend viewing number 1 too.

I won’t give away any other surprises. Watch the video for yourself and enjoy.

Watched them all? For more laughs check out the top five game over screens.

What’s the worst voice acting you’ve heard in a game?

Hahahaha, Shenmue is awful! And Resident Evil… “ouch”! That brings the lolz.

I remember some of the PC point and clicks I used to play back in the day being pretty rubbish…
